Home Pressure Booster Systems
This automatic system requires no manual intervention and is built for low maintenance. The entire home plumbing is kept under pressure by this system and it is versatile enough to work in homes with and without overhead tanks. These systems are available in a range of capacities to ensure that they take care of your specific requirement.
The conventional way
The conventional Water Distribution System uses a maze of pipelines of different diameters for a single floor or online collectively for a group of floors, to increase the pressure in the taps. There is high amount of dirt, debris, sand, etc. settled on the floor of the overhead tank, which ideally should be cleaned after every 15 days; else it leads to choking of the valves, pipelines and precious fittings. This method is obsolete in other parts of the world.
The Pentair way
The Pentair Home Pressure Booster System consists of the following components:
- WellMate Tank - this tank consists of an air filled bladder. The water enters this tank and compresses the air cell and pressurizes the air, which in turn pressurizes the water. This water is delivered to your water supply system under consistent pressure.
- A Pump - this pump supplies water to the WellMate tank and to your water supply system. It is controlled through an automatic pressure controlled switching device.
- Pressure switch - the pump is electrically connected to the pressure switch, which controls the pressure at which water is delivered.
As the system is switched on, the pump which is connected to the raw water source, starts pumping water into the WellMate hydro-pneumatic booster tank. The pressurized water from the tank is pumped to your water supply system. When the taps are closed in your supply system, pressure builds in the tank. As the pressure reaches the optimum level, the pump is shut off. When the taps are opened, you get pressurized water from the WellMate tank. As the pressure reduces and reaches a certain undesired level, the pump is automatically started. The pressure controlled automatic pump switching device in the system frees you from the problem of switching the pump on and off again.
